Yesterday, I got a brand new SpydeRench at the price of 55 USD. Could anyone tell me the history of SpydeRench? How about my price? cheap or expensive? Dose it worth for owning?
I could not find any introduction from the website of Spyderco. Why this wrench quit the market?

the price you got seems unheard of..this was a brand new spyderench that you got??does anyone know the name of the designer of the spyderench..i know that he is an aero space engineer but no name..the price you got was ridiculoulsy cheap..where do i get one for that price..i'll buy 3

The designer of the Spyderench is Martin Beck.
There was an article in the January 2001 issue of Tactical Kives.

thanks rorschach..useful info..i am dying to have the pyderco Q the one w.the spyder in the middle of blade..i got this 4-5 years ago and this small but wicked knife started the whole thing for me..need to have one b4 i die..bad a-- knife

hardkiss and rorschach,
Thank you very much.
I won the item of spyderench from yahoo auction in singapore.
I know it is discontinuous, but I like the design and the tough outlook very much. I got the tools the day before yesterday. It should be a new one, but not brand new. Some one keep it for a long time but no use. At first I thought it should be well made. But after I got it, I found the part of wrench is made with some rough steel, not smooth surface. Only the blade part is wonderful. The blade could cut my hair and peel paper smoothly. There are 2 slight scratch on the top part of blade, how could I smooth them? With toothgel or diamond sharper?

lite scratches i personally wouldn't worry about..if your perfectionist then you can get them out..i have a dremel tool w.a buffing bit..be extremely careful though not to cause more scratches
