Spyderfly

I don't know if that is a good price, but I just paid $200 for one that was "almost" new in box. Maybe I'm a sucker. :D

I sold a gently used one here for $210 so i'd think so.
I've seen NIB VG10 go for $350.

It appears to be numbered on the blade as well. I am having a very hard time finding a lot of information about them. Can anyone please tell me the model numbers for the different variations. It would be greatly appreciated.

Cannot seem to figure out the model numbers anywhere. I believe this place is a ghost town.

I thought $210 was a great price. Seen then go for $300 elsewhere.

There are no model numbers on the Spyderfly. It's the strangest Spyderco branding I've seen.

There were 3 versions of the Spyderfly. The first was VG-10 while the second and third were 440C. First and second both looked like the one in remnar's photo and both used the BO1P SKU, while the third was rainbow anodized, or whatever the equivalent process for stainless steel is called, and had an SKU of B01PRB. There were Collectors Club numbered versions of the VG-10 and Rainbow, but I don't think there were any CC#'d 440C without the rainbow anodizing. AFAIK, counterfeiters never put CC #'s on their work, so a CC#'ed piece should be a safe purchase. Otherwise, there are some fake Spyderflys out there, so you definitely have to be careful of non-numbered ones.

Deacon,
I have seen some photos of fake Spyderfly's but they were easily discernible from the real ones. Do you know if there was ever a fake that closely resembled the real thing?

Never bought one, so I don't know how good they'd look in hand, but I've seen Rainbow ones that were either quite close or "bait and switch" situations where seller was using photos of a real one to sell fakes.
