does anyone even see these things anymore? ive been looking around to no avail they seem like ghosts these days and in all honesty i didnt think they were that popular

Go on the right sites and talk to the right people you might be able to find one. I bought one from the guy at roadside imports. As crazy as that guy is he does ok business.

The spyderfly has been discontinued for ages. The smallfly is still readily available as is the szabo fly.

As I remember, thanks to a court decision the Spyderfly was recalled. Those that have them don't want to admit it publicly, since they were supposed to have returned them.

They may, or may not, be real. There's a Chinese clone of it that's disturbingly accurate.

as much as it was a rad design,
it's handle dimensions made it particularly cumbersome for manipulation.
flips aside, it had an amazing profile; the likes of which the bali world had never seen.
very ingenious spring latch, terribly impressed with the rich details put into it.
things of which might have affected it's eventual reputation as a workable bali.

this does sadden me and i do have the superfly as previously mentioned, and while it is cumbersome to flip i think it definitely worth it

FWIW, if you have any interest whatsoever in the Smallfly or Szabofly, I suggest you get them while the getting is good. There are strong rumors that both with be dropped from the lineup.

i plan on getting a szabofly pretty soon at least within the next month or so unless a 32, or 42 pop up for a getter choice but still it saddens me they make good knives and great balis

SZABOINC just informed me that the SZABO is NO MORE :(
It would have been nice for the collection, It would have NOT been an EDC type though.
