Hi Everybody

The other day I traded or bought one of the plain edge Spyderhawk. When I got it I thought it would make the perfect Karambit (Maybe Sal or Eric can do something with this?)

I have had a problem with the other production foldeing Karambits because the rings a too small for my big old fingers.

The Strider is the perfect size finger ring but it does not fold.

So I made a ring out of 3 layers of kydex & bolted it on, worked great I loved it.
Then I saw a avitar of where someone cut the spyder hole to make the knive "wave" open
so I tried that but stopped short of going through & it worked fine. I am not trying to rip Emerson off He just does not make anything that fits my finger.

Let me know what you think?
 
As somebody that has the same problem you do, I must say: KEWL! :D

That's a really good idea actually not only for us people with big mitts but as someone who is critical of karambits, that setup answers many of the complaints people have against them.

At worst you've made an Emerson Kerambit that ISN'T a darn linerlock.

Now make me one :D Or at least start selling those little Kydex pieces so I can karambitize my own 'Hawk :D

Necessity, the mother of all invention. If you do another one, I have two hawks [ pe ] and one could be shipped to you for this "treatment" of yours.

I like it a lot, great execution and innovative idea.

Let me know if you are interested in doing another and the approximate pricepoint to get it to me.

Dialex designs rock as well.
I like to have a souped up hawk. The Spydee Kerambit didn´t do anything for me.

Those are some cool designs let me know if you need sheaths for any of your designs.

Thanks for all the compliments guys but I really doubt if I will make another one( it was a real pain in the butt) Also one person on USN thought I was trying to rip Ernie Emerson off which was not my intention at all( I just have fat fingers & I like the wave thing), infact I know him personally & am working on a sheath deal with him, but sometimes people get a little excitable with out merit, & shut down threads & say liablus things with out thinking (stupidity should hurt)

I really would like Sal or Eric to take the design & or make something in this size with alittle more of a hook. I you guys want to borrow my Karambit let me know & I will ship it to you. Sal & or Eric send me an E-mail please. :D
