Spydero Military Mods?

Howdy.

I recently and very shortly owned a Spyderco Military. I liked it very much, but the handle is just way way too big for the size of the blade. I've owned several nearly 4" blades that don't have 5 1/2" handles. Has anyone done handle mods for it? I was thinking about picking up a user and grinding down the handle to make it shorter. But I don't know how much material I can remove before the blade will stick out of the handle when closed. So has anybody seen any mods on the Military's handle?
 
There have been mods made to the mili and to the para. Search the Spyderco forums. Off the top of my head: check out http://blog.cuscadi.de/, they've done it; bluntruth has a vid on moding his para; not too long ago there was a thread by someone who moded the military after breaking its tip. Google may help...
 
There was a mod to I believe a military in the spyderco forum not too long ago but I can't find it. The handle was shortened to just in front of the lanyard hole. Meaning the handle was ground off so there was no longer a lanyard hole. It wasn't flat but was a little rounded probably to hide the tip of the knife.

I might try searching some more but it was in the last 2 weeks I think.
