Does anyone know which models have been available with black blades?

I know a few that have been offered with black blades:

Delica
Native
Military
Para-Military
ATR
Bob Lum tanto

What others?

Thanks,
Allen.

I have a stainless steel Police that is totally coated with black TiN somewhere in my junk.

The Temperance and I could be wrong but I believe that the Perrin Street bowie had a black brother too.

In my knife drawer......
Black Perrin
Black Temperance
Black Police (magnum research)
Black Police (origin unknown)

There were 50 black coated Mariners done as a test run in the early 80's.
They were the original flat sided, ventless model.

I have one of the Delicas with the TiN coating, sitting in the vault.
Daily carried it for years, replaced with an original Dragonfly, still rolling strong.

Goddard Ltd. (1,200 made). One of the humpless Spydies made. Great deal for $59.95, IMHO.

Never mind, I thought from the picture that it was a black blade and it was just a lousy picture.

Still a good sized knife (3.6 inches) for the price and limited quantity.

Black Hunter CO3PS: and a black standard CO5S. They even had this in gold nitide coating also.

What really blows me away is the fact that about 4 out 5 knife collectors I talk to really abhor and resent "black bladed" knives. With the Black Coating that Spyderco uses being of such a high quality I really like the coated blades and can't really understand the reason for the intense dislike of the BLACK BLADED Spyders.

I wonder if any collector has considered that by maybe targeting BLACK BLADED Spyders that you could potentially have a really nice collection within a collection.

Also 2 Spyders I really wish that they would make in BLACK would be the Impala and the OCELOT.

Hey JD, I too think that among us knife collectors there is some bandwagoning. I am considering a black Para to try out Spyderco's DLC coating:thumbup: I think the main reason being that my satin Para shows finger prints like crazy! I wash the blade and it seems like the first time I open it, it gets all smudgy:grumpy:

I just got the black Military today!
