I was looking at getting one of these, butt was wondering about sharpening. It looks like it might be a bear to do on the sharpmaker(all I've got) . and also, can someone post me a pic with it next to a mini manix, or a mini skirmish? Thank ya:thumbup:

Ive had my eye on the Captain to. It's a nice looking knife.
It shouldn't be that hard to sharpen on the Sharpmaker. Theres really two grinds on the knife so i would start with the bottom one and then i would to the top by itself. Make sure when you do the top to move your wrist with the blade shape or you will loss some of your contact.

Sharpening with the Sharpmaker is simple, the same with a Lansky set-up.

Freehand really is not too much of a problem if you want to invest in a decent stone and then grind a relief on one side so you can sharpen the curved portion.
