Wondering if I should get the Delica in PE, VG10 with FRN scales or the Vesuvius in 50/50 (or maybe PE if they have it) in ats34.
The steel is not a big matter. I don't own either. However, the lock on the Vesuvius is quite attractive, at the consequence of 20CDN more (at LeBaron)
Which should i take?

The Vesuvius.I have the forum model and like it.The only thing I think it needs is a little stronger spring holding the blade shut.

Yeah i'm leaning to it despite the cost (I'm short on cash).

I don't have a delica but I doubt you'd be let down by the Vesuvius.

I own both the Delica and the Vesuvius and I like them both...but the Vesuvius is the only knife that has ever opened inside of my pocket. The Compression-lock's only shortcoming (IMHO) is the closed blade retention (like u812 said).

So I'm back to the old reliable Lock-back.
I also like the Delica's clip better than the one on the Vesuvius.

Good luck,
Allen.

I've made the order, and it's neither of them.
I chose the Endura in VG10 and FRN scales because it's longer and cheaper (like $10 bucks difference), and I know it's going to be a good workhorse.
I'm really short on cash, and that has influenced the decision. I'll probably pick up the Vesuvius later ;) because of the interesting lock.

calyth, excellent choice - I'm toting my FRN VG10 Endura right now and it's a user! ok, one down side -the edge doesn't correspond with the 30deg angle on the Sharpmaker, so I had to use my edgepro instead.
