I went looking for a Mariner or a Captain but this came home with me. I never even knew about this model before. I saw the stainless versions on Ebay today but I could not find any titanium prices. I did some trading with a friend and I am very happy. James

In case you do not like the serrations I can trade you my SS PE, I won't even charge you the difference...:D
 
The Ti ATR goes pretty high on eBay most of the time and the SS model is going higher all the time. I picked up the two Serrated models shown here off the 'bay. Got a great deal on them, cause I was lucky!
Note the difference in the Japanese serrations, compared to the USA Ti model and the longer, less abrupt triangular flat on the blade of both SS Japanese manufactured.

Thanks everyone. The more I look at them the more I want a SS PE. I'm going to the Austin gunshow today to see if I can find one among the panic stricken ammo and black rifle hoarders. I think now is the best time for buying blades than ever before. I stopped buying guns and have found so many good deals on knives lately.
