I have a spyderco manix in maxamet. It has some rust in the pivot and water marks. It's starting to rust in other areas. I wipe the blade down after use. It does stay damp though as I'm sweating and the sweat gets on the.knife. not making a big deal about it as it's a user. But if I wanted to buff it out what would you guys recommend? I have green, white, black and.blue.compound and several buffing wheels. I don't feel like hand sanding it first as it will probably remove the Maker's Mark and the extra scratches will allow for faster rust. Maybe I'm wrong. Let me know what's the best solution. Thanks

i just know that maxamet is a super steel, higher grade stuff than vg10, s30v, m390
It rusts but it cuts circles around a lot of other steels. Needs Diamond/cbn abrasives for the best edge performance.
