spydie vert blade play

i know i've asked this question a while back but i got to ask it again.....does anybody have any spydies with a little vertical blade play. My native and caly zdp have it but my brand new adventura has it too!!.......is this normal for some lockbacks...all the help is needed and appreciated...yall are great...search function not working for me.....thx/paul

A MINIMAL amount of vertical play is ok. Some of my knives have it, some don't.

As long as it's not a lot, it's nothing to worry about.

Paul, I responded to your previous thread, but will repeat what I said there again. Vertical play is a condition that, while not universal, is quite common in lockbacks. You mention the Adventura. I have three of them, one has zero vertical play, the other two a slight bit each. I have a Stretch which I've been using daily for over a year, which has none. Out of the over 200 Spyderco front locks (Spyderco's version of the lockback) that I own, I would say somewhat over half show a very slight amount of it.

Beyond all that, Sal Glesser, the owner of Spyderco also responded that thread, inviting you to send the knife, or knives, in if you are concerned about them.

yea deacon i know and i apologize for asking again but i couldnt find my thread and couldnt remember exaxctly what was said. I would really rather not send them back in and just live with it i guess so i'll just shut up.:foot: thanks for puttin up with me dude
