Anyone have any insight as to what the orange/red is on the end of the lock bar?
It looks like it's on top of the Ti, as it's slightly offset (higher) with a noticeable ridge around the edges. Due to this, it seems to be too thick to be an oxide. Reminiscent of phosphor bronze material. I tried to pick at it with a toothpick and it didn't come off.
The part of the lockface (on the far left) where the blade engages indicates the area was heat treated; it had a green oxide layer under magnification (very slightly visible in photo).
Overall does not affect function but am curious to what this may be.
