Spydiechef or Techno 2. I can't decide

Well these two knives cost the most but I can't decide because of a few things.
1. The blade ergos on the Techno 2 are so nice but the knife is small!
2. The blade ergos on the Spyerchief are boring but the knife is normal size!
3. The blade alloy on the Techno 2 is basically s30v with less tooth
4. The blade alloy on the Spyerchief is impervious to rust just like the Ti handles!

Which should I get? Which one do you guy like more? Will you buy my manix 2 m4 so I can afford to get either or?

Spydiechef without a doubt. Two main reasons, it’s corrosion proof and it’s a proper size knife.

The edge to handle ratio is quite impressive. It has the same length handle as the Sage (3 inch knife), and almost the same amount of edge as a Military (4 inch knife)!

It carries in waistband like a boss. I really like mine...

SpydieChef. Then again, if you asked SpydieChef vs. any other Spyderco, I’d still say SpydieChef, for my use.

Not sure what you mean by blade ergos, but the blade’s uniquely functional especially as a slicer. The rear edge of the blade is slightly lower than the handle, so virtually the whole edge length can be used for slicing on a flat surface, and it’s extremely thin behind the edge while not having an overly thin stock or delicate tip.

Handle ergonomics are great. It carries really well. Action is very satisfying. Construction quality is outstanding as I’m sure is true of the Techno.

One of the best anywhere near its price, in my opinion.

I am looking at Spydiechef everyday in one online shop everyday for the past I don´t know, 3 months? I think it is a really good looking and unique knife.
Techno 2 is nice, but for the same price (here in EU), Spydiechef is more knife for the same money.

Doesn't sound like you like either one all that much.

If you prefer the unfinished all Ti scale look, you've got a few other choices, such as the Mantra 1, Mantra 2 and the K2 Folder. The only one I've got is the K2 Folder because I like large folders w/big blades which may not be for you but you may like the Manta 1 which is discontinued but still available on the 2ndary market. It's identical in size/features to the Mantra 3, which I own/prefer but that's only because I prefer G10/CF to Ti scales.

Just something else to consider.

I definetly want one since I'm retiring my Manix 2 Maxamet from my work rotation. I can't get TOO excited because I made the best knife in the world (s110v military with fluted Ti) and already bought my grail (carbon fiber dodo) like two years ago. Not going to fall head over heals just need another good work knife with features that s110v doesn't have. The Techno 2's ergos are very nice from pictures, I don't know if it would out perform since it's not a weak nitrogen alloy and the stoutness gives it good rigidity or what.

THE THING IS: I hear newer SpydieChefs have a ceramic detent ball, if that's the case it's a no brainer.

The Spydiechef has a ceramic detent since April 2018 (box code of DR).

Unless something about the Techno 2 really calls to you, go for the Chef.

The Chef is awesome! Love mine. 10/10 would recommend. Haven't handled a Techno. Looks cool, but stubby and thick blade stock.

Another vote for the Chef. I don't have a Techno 2, but the Chef is my favorite folder out of my entire collection.
