Hello,

this is the first review I write about this bold design.
I really enjoy it in the kitchen which is my main battleground. But soon I will ask to other cook to use it and give me their impression.

The link:

I wonder who will spot my dirty acronym....

And this is not cocaine !! ;-)

Hum, Peter, someone else has answer to your post on Spydero Forums already. Is this a vendetta ? Or you just want to troll the thread ?
But I can give you another answer here:

I do post threads and answer to questions here for 19 years as much as on my little blog for 22 years.
And it's easier to link and centralized all my pictures (and soon heavier videos) in Wordpress as the Bladeforums ask for a URL anyway... :)

Here is a video I have just finished:

I also do link my sources to the forums when needed. So it's works both ways.

PS: I do think you are a friend of that Austrian knifemaker who has copied Fred Perrin designs claiming it was his own invention. :-D

Dear Nemo,

Let me give you my answer also here: You are wrong with your assumption. What I wrote is my personal view ... nothing more and nothing less. ;)

Very nice and thank you for posting the link. I have been eyeing up the Slysz Bowie for a while but the "bowie style" blade with that blade width just did not do it for me in terms of aesthetics in addition to the retail price tag for the CTS-XHP steel. However, I did come across the Slysz's Spydiechef when researching his Bowie rendition. This is of course an entirely different folder knife, but I have been seriously considering this one over that Bowie which is now discontinued.

I love mine. I use it and another larger knife when camping or cooking away from my kitchen. It's great a small knife as you could want in the kitchen. it rock chops, slices very well and I don't have to worry about it getting corroded even when camping an the beach. My larger camp kitchen knives are a Kershaw Diskin Hunter and a BK5. The Spydie chef is the most used and best slicer. Sometimes it's not long enough, hence the other two coming into play. Overall best in class for what it's intended use it, and it doubles well for EDC.

Thank you nefarious for another resounding affirmation on the Spydiechef. I like the sheepfoot type blade for kitchen use and often thought about the CRK's Insingo but the fact that it does not rock like the Spydiechef seems to be able to, plus the ergo's of the Spydiechef's handle which would offer better leverage in power cuts, win me over the Insigno. Coming in at less than 1/2 the price as compare and better steel with a FFG (IMHO) are not too shabby factors either.

CRK fans, please don't get me wrong! When it comes to F&F, robustness and over all pride of ownership, the Insingo will be very tough to compete with but for the merits already stated, the SC will get my (lesser) fund$ :)
