Spydies on Teflon Washers

So I just received my Ed Schempp Khukuri (Grail) on Monday and I was surprised to find it riding on teflon washers. I have 30 spydies at this point and only 2 of them are running on teflon, the Khukuri and the Breeden Rescue. Both knives are from a Japanese plant, the Breeden is marked Seki and I asuume the Khukuri is the same just unmaked as it was a earlier release. Does only the seki plant employ teflon washers? How many other models are using these? Have they since been phased out in favor of PB or cermaic/steel ball bearings? Just curious...
BTW half of my Spydies hail from the Taichung plant in Taiwan and glide on the PB washers. :D

I have an old military that has weird clear orange washers, i dont know exactly what material it is, but its pretty smooth.

Junior is on Teflon washers. Japan made. FWIW, Rick Hinderer uses Teflon. I wouldn't think of it as a negative.

I don't think of it as negative whatsoever. I just find it curious that there seems to be only a handful of models using teflon washers.
Just trying to get a better ideas as to how many actually exist..I feel like Spyderco may have moved away from them entirely in favor of PB or ball bearings.

Along with others listed above I believe my Starmate had teflon washers.
I consider it an upgrade.

I'm not sure about other models but just wanted to chime in that I love the action of my Khukuri. It is the smoothest Spyderco I own and I am sometimes mesmerized by its silky movement, I love opening and closing it!

Matter of fact I ordered a bunch of Teflon and nylon washers and changed several of my knives over.

I've only seen them on the Tenacious and its brothers and the Byrd. Maybe I haven't looked well enough. Now I'm curious
