Anyone know how to square up their drill press?

I can get the side to side spot on, but the front to back of the table doesn't seem like it is adjustable?

Thanks!

I use pieces of heat treating foil as shims. On my press, the front of the table was too low, so I placed a doubled over piece of foil under the bottom front of the collar that tightens the table to the column, or where the table mounts to the collar to be more permanent. Tighten it down, and the shim lifts the front edge of the table just a bit.

Hope that makes sense. I used a piece of bent wire chucked in the press as a gauge.

Thanks Nathan. I thought about using shims on the column to head connection, but it doesn't seem very quick. I think for now, I'll just use my mill. It's so much easier to tram it. I wish there was a drill press that was adjustable on both planes for accurate drilling/ tapping.

If you have a mill then most surely use it. I have a mill and no "drill press". But I can use the mill just like a drill press. Might take a few more second to set up but it is a VERY accurate drill press. Us the DP for no accuracy needed holes.
