Why is it when I open and close my Emerson mini commander it makes a squeaking noise

i have no idea, but it could be coming from the pivot or the detent ball.

either can be lubed, which should at least minimize the problem.

I have a mini Commander that does the same and one combat karambit. I think it is no big deal.

My horseman does the same. Some Teflon grease helped alleviate the problem. Also seems to persist if I open and close the blade too many times.

mine did also and i adjusted and locktighted the pivot and it stopped
