Decided to knock up a Squirrel trap while I was out today. As is sometimes the case when I made the trap as in the drawings it didn't work quite right so I had to modify it a little. When it comes to traps nothing is set in stone so adjust the designs till you find what works.
The set up is quite hard to make out in pics, I used a Morel on the bait stick !

A little video showing the trap being triggered. When I first tried it the trigger was very sensitive but when I recorded it the trigger took more pressure...typical ! Till a trap is tripped you don't know how sensitive the trigger is !!!

As I was off the footpath I followed a deer trail back to an area I recognised. Looking at the fresh scat I don't think we were far behind the deer !

Came across my first Chocolate lily of the year, the bulbs can be eaten boiled or steamed !

My sharp today ( I believe the plant is Sheep Sorrel )...
