The handle is made of Lizard Damascus. Lizard damascus is made of 440 and pure Nichel. Chad Nichols produces this Damascus.

Not my cup o' tea, but I can definitely appreciate the work that was put into producing this knife. That blade with a Ti handle would be killer.

Damascus steel rather than titanium would increase the weight quite a bit wouldn't it? Also, I'm curious to know if that edge is sharpened, because I typically don't see the steel pattern held on a sharpened edge on damascus.

That is something special! Big fan of the SR-1 - this is very unique.
