Forgive me if this is in the wrong place, this is regarding the glass breaker tip for the SR-1.

I was wondering if it is the same thread pitch and size to replace what is on the Lion Steel/Spyderco - LionSpy.

If it does fit, is there a way I can order one?

I really love the RotoBlock, its one of the best features I have seen for a knife recently.
I was interested in the SR-1 for that feature alone, but with the Spyderco name and Elmax steel I had to get one.

Thanks for doing the collaboration.

Nobody knows? A lot of views, no responses.

I guess Lion Steel enthusiasts think the LionSpy is a red haired step child, I am fine with that, just glad to be a part of the family.

I just figured if I post here, since Lion Steel made the LionSpy, they might know the "real answer" even better than Spyderco. I am waiting for a response from both, Thanks.

I guess the real question: is the LionSpy (G-10/Ti) pocket clip screw area built to pound glass every now and again?

Let's see a pic of it. I don't know what the Lionspy has for a screw, so it might already be a glassbreaker tip as the tip isn't extremely pronounced.

Heres a picture I copied from the spyderco forum, quicker than taking my own.

It has a point on the end of it, I am not sure its carbide, just some stainless steel.

I have seen a picture of the DPx HEST folder glass breaker and its a darker color and taller too.

I'm also wondering if the hardware that holds the pocket clips screw is up to the task since its at the joint of the G-10 and Ti. The lower frame screw, screws perpendicular and into the insert that receives the glass breaker pocket clip screw, if that makes sense.

I confirm that you can use the SR-1 glass breaker also in LionSpy, same thread

Thank you very much Sir, I don't think I can get a better answer than that.

were you ever able to find the SR1 breaker screw for your lionspy? sorry i realize this thread is old but info on the topic is scarce and i'm looing to upgrade my lionspy as well.

thanks in advance for looking at my question.

Thanks GianniLion. Got the SR-1 glass breaker and installed it on the Lionspy. Works/looks great.

Also ordered the SR-2 pocket clip. Comes with a nice Spyderco logo and is a little bit longer than the Lionspy original clip. I would not recommend this one for future users. The clip is longer but it ends directly on the frame lock cutout, making it very hard to slip onto pants. I have put the original shorter clip back on.

Thanks for quick customer service and shipping from Lionsteel!

Hmmmmmm? I wonder if this is a good indication that the Lil' LionSpy will be hitting the shelves soon! Projection by Spyderco was 4th Qtr 14. If enough parts are available to send you a clip, perhaps the actual knives have already been shipped to Spyderco for final QC before heading to the dealers.
