I've been a huge Busse fan for many years and have had a number of SRKW knives over the years. I got a bit snobbish with INFI but have been reading that SR-101 holds a better edge. I have forgotten and am looking for a small SRKW (howling rat or bandicoot). What is the current offering (or most recent) in this size?

Probably the HRLM Brendan. With a 5'' blade length, the Ratmandu might be a bit big for EDC...but the HRLM is around 3.5'' IIRC. Jerry has been talking about a new Swamp Rat release for the upcoming Ganzaa, and Eric has been talking about the "rodent solution." It might be a better call to sit tight and see whats going to be offered in the near future!

General note only...but the latest SY release, the Scrapivore, is also SR101. CG models should be released soon....should make a good skelly knife.

Good luck on your search for a Bandicoot...I think I saw one on the exchange recently (not sure if it's still there).

cheers for the heads up. Saw that bandi but it was infi if i'm not mistaken

My HRLM has been very useful as a edc at work. When the Scrapavore is available, I'm sure it will fill that role as well.

Some day we'll see the Scrapivore LE. I was hoping for Christmas. Now I'm hoping for Groundhog's Day.

I think it was me that got the last Banicoot (sharpened by Vic..aka: Horn Dog) from RPN!

If ya can find one...grab one....great little knife (Goes perfect with the Camp Tramp)!!!

Brendan...regular Scrapper 5's are also SR101 (I had forgotten about those!). And, there's one on the exchange now.

Looking at the SS5 (which I did own a while ago) the ratmandu is a similar blade length - might be a bit long. I don't carry knives on my belt but in my backpack or day bag. HRLM might be a good choice - you guy got any user pics !!

I prefer the RMD over the S5.

Same. However I wouldn't call either a "small" knife, both are rather midsize.

The HRLM has a smaller blade but same basic handle length as the ratmandu.

Get ahold of a warden if you'd like a smaller skeletonized SR101 knife, a HRLM if you'd like one with a smaller working blade but still pretty hand-filling handle, and a bandicoot if you want a little bit of an oldschool blade.

I'd also recommend the Hairy Carry but they are 154cm, not SR101.
