I've searched the forum and google to no avail. Does anybody know why the SR-11 has a hole in the flipper tang?

No idea. I always assumed it was to copy the Busse talon hole style.
But pointless features usually arent copied.
I would bet it has something to do with holding the blade in the mill whilst its machined. Like the hole in sebenza frames only less random and weird. Busse and Lionsteel had the sense to finish the hole and make it part of the knife tho, where CRK just left some random hole in the frame. Who knows. It doesnt have any effect on the knife's use, so why worry?

Thanks guys. The mill idea plays out well. Now if Lionsteel could have knurled the flipper tang.
