Sr101 suitable for dlc?

I have a question I'm hoping Garth/Jerry can answer. I have a ratmandu I am looking to have dlc coated. The process is around 500 degrees. Will that hurt the heat treat on the steel?

I could be wrong but I think heat treat is pretty close.

Always 1000% best to ask the folks that made the knife.

Anything here on Blade Forums would be speculation.

Quick update. I spoke with Jerry today and he did not recommend applying dlc to sr 101

That's good to know.. does that mean cerakote is a no go too?

Funny enough that's literally the only thing I did different today. Just didn't have time this morning
