SR101 vs Camphor Laurel

Just posted this in the Swamp Rat forum too. I used my Chopweiler to split some camphor laurel logs today. One of my favourite users btw. Anyway, the camphor laurel sap makes an awesome patina. Has a similar effect on INFI too, just not as pronounced. I LOVE the look of well used blades...

Lovely "user" look Rob ! The Chopweiler seems to have three graduated bevels to the edge ... did'nt know that ... the middle one looks like it could be a hollow ground relief bevel for chopping ?

Mate, the first line your see from the edge is the hamon, or the line from the edge heat treat.
