As the post states,I have a few questions which I've been meaning to ask for some time now (about for about two months).Regarding, my very first Swamp Rat purchase, a Waki. From the pictures posted on forums of various items,I've noticed that all SRKW items come with a card stock cover over the blade. On this cover is attached is an orange coloured inspection sticker with the QC number. The reason,I ask is that mine does not have this orange inspection sticker but a pen written "Hedges" which has been scribbled out with pencil.Futhermore, when I was testing the sharpness of the edge cutting paper,I found that first few inches of the edge from the handle and towards the tip are absolutely dull. While the rest is absolutely razor sharp. Is this normal? I ask since,I've never attempted to sharpened a sword ever before.

All Waki's were inspected, so don't worry about that. If you have concern or want us to sharpen it drop me a note and we'll take care of it ratknives@insightbb.com

The white cardboard on yours is probably a replacement, I accidentally ruined some of the white cardboard covers and had to scramble to find replacements. Your cover is probably one of those replacements. (don't ask what happened to the original white blade covers :foot:)

I hope that helps

Eric

Thanks Eric for answering my question.BTW does anyone know what the charge is to sharp a Waki.

If you are not happy with the sharpness from the factory, I am sure Eric will take care of it without a charge. You would just need to send it in to them.

Send Eric an email asking for confirmation. He will do you right.

Best, Les.
