Im trying to decided which two knives to purchase that makes the best combo for everyday use and for camping. After reading many of these posts, I've narrowed it down to 1) the battle rat and the bandicoot or 2) the camp tramp and the howling rat. Or any other combination of these 4 knives. I need help determining the best combination.

I would have to go with the Battle Rat and Coot combo. Simply because it is the combo that I use whenever, I go camping. If you need or are going to use a knife for chopping wood then I would always go bigger. The Coot is a perfect choice for fine detail work, kitchen prep, and a great size for self-defense.

May the Force be with you.

I've decided to go with the battle rat and the howling rat. I just placed my order online. When will I receive my rats?

After the many weeks of research, I've come to believe in the quality of swamp rat knives and the warranty it comes with. I don't plan on buying anymore knives in my life time unless its a swamp rat.

Good choice with the HR, my favorite Rat. The second is the CT. I have a BR also but don't do that much chopping so the CT gets picked up more often than the larger blade. But bigger is better for that purpose. The HR with either of the large blades makes a perfect pair for the woods or the kitchen. Very versatile.
