DEAL CLOSED ON THIS ONE
I'm looking to trade my Ratmastiff for a Battle Rat. The blade is sterile and has a penetrator tip. It has been used for a lot of chopping, but has a fresh factory edge on it that is very sharp. I just got it back from SRKW on a resharpen. The only damage to the knife is the coating, which is worn and has some gouging. The sheath is a very nice dark brown, leather/kydex fusion sheath by Armoralleather. These go for around $90 new. The sheath has some scuffs and scratches from carry, and a cut in the leather strap that snapped the knife closed from when I accidentally tried to shove the knife back into the sheath when the strap was snapped shut. The strap still works fine, it just has a cut. Scroll down for pictures.
Anyway, I love the knife and it has worked very well for me, but I'd rather have Res-C handles for comfort reasons as I want a user. I would very much prefer an all black, differentially treated, original Battle Rat to replace it. You'd have to do some serious convincing to get me to take one of the tan handled fully hardened ones. Worn coating is not an issue, but the knife must be in fine condition otherwise and have a decent, working edge on it. A sheath isn't necessary, but it is a plus, and it will be taken into consideration in money difference.
Basicly, I will trade this knife even up for an original Battle Rat, but you will have to pay the difference in the sheath, which, being used, I'm only asking $75 to cover it. If you happen to have a Dwayne Puckett sheath to trade with the BR, then consider it even, although I doubt I'll get that lucky. I'm also interested in a Howling Rat, and will accpet one of those with the BR and pay you $75 in difference as another option, but that's getting really particular.
My email is: joerandomnumber@yahoo.com
Please contanct if interested. I'm willing to at least hear out any offers, but I'm not looking to just sell the knife, and probably won't unless the offer is just too good to refuse.
EDIT: I didn't realize there was a forum specifically for trading. I apologize.
