So I bought SRM 238X because of the integral folded steel handle and the crossbar lock. I have a $20 SRM 9201 that is a fantastic cheap knife and I figured twice the money I was going to be blown away. I was immediately dissatisfied with the design as the finger choil is cut to deep and tappers to a thin edge. Next was the lanyard hole is just bare metal and noticeable at the base of the palm. Both these spots are noticeable just fidgeting with the knife.

Construction is also a let down, the included bearings are just teflon washers balls. The blade is not pocketed for the bearings and this adds to the frustration of doing maintenance. The intergral steel handle edges are not sanded enough to take the edge off. G10 came stained out of the box and effect the adjustment of the pivot in a negative manner. I have only seen rave reviews for the 238X, was super disappointed in the overall quality at the price point. Not sure I will give SRM money again, mostly because of the teflon washer bearing are already cutting into the steel liners.
