Ah the eternal question of which one...

I guess we to just have to buy both! :D

One more question, I'm assuming the BRT and CTT wil have 9" and 7" blades. What's the specs on the Satin Rat?

Yojimbo,
Actually the CTT is 7.5" and the BRT is 9.5"--both at 1/4" at the spine.
The Satin Rat is a 6" blade at 3/16"

How much will the swamp rat bandicoot tactical be?

Whats the difference between the tactial line and the original line?

Not sure when/if a SRT Bandicoot is coming, but as to the differences, I'm going to quote this from my answer in another thread:

The original line has Resiprine-C handles fully enclosing hidden (but full) tangs, just like the old Busse Basics. Resiprine-C is a very hard meterial, not at all like kraton or other 'rubber' handles in feel. It's durable, immune to most common chemicals and easy on the hands, and as of right now there aren't any plans to drop it.

However, due to many requests, the SRT line is coming out to give people the option of micarta scales. These new knives are the same steel and geometry as the old line (except for the Satin Rat, which has no old line counterpart) and will carry the same full guarantee. The SRTs will be slightly more centrally balanced due to the extra metal in the exposed tangs and the weight of micarta. The integral guards are more pronounced and the overall grip shape is slightly different.

I've been waiting for the SRT bandicoot to come out before I purchase. If its not comming out, theres no point in waiting. I'll order it today.

I plan on purchasing the swamp rat battle rat and the swamp rat bandicoot in tactical. If the bandicoot won't be offered in tactical, theres no point in waiting so Ill just purchase both of them as is.

Take a cue from the Brits, DrThor, and have a Black&Tan, and celebrate with a Black&Tan! :D

I am realy looking forward to that new line - especially due to the new handles, they look great. :D
