SS liners on customs, heat treated?

I just got a DDR EDC!!!!

It sure is nice. The liners appear to be stainless steel. I know that darrel uses both stainless steel and titanium. When makers use SS for liners are they heat treated?

I have to tell you how impressed I am with the EDC. If I didn't know any better I would think it was designed with me in mind. It is everything I want in a knife.
