SS without foil?

Quick question for ya'll. Now that I'm surface-grinding all of my blanks post-HT, do I still need to use tool wrap for AEB-L? I'm assuming that the integrity of the steel won't be compromised, but figured I'd better check first. Thank you!

Yes, you still need tool wrap or some other type of shield.

I use SS foil as a normal thing. I did play around with dry graphite (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0094IZ3BA/ ) some and it does work "ok" for SS. There is a thin layer that needs grinding off, not much, but 3 or 4 thou on each side seems to clean up nicely. It is what I use for carbon steel HT'ing.
