Picked up a tag sale bundle of knives yesterday.
Including this Schrade Walden,NY,USA SS105 Sampler
It has what I have been told is "hand grained ivory plastic " handle scales.
Doesn't look like it has been sharpened to death, but it has been sharpened!
Typical carbon steel darkening but not rusty.
Stamped "NU PRODUCTS CO.
According to Schrade historian at Taylor Brands it could have been made anywhere from 1958 to 2004!
He thinks it may have been a limited run for the company .

Does anyone collect these models!
Where would I find a value?

Put the picture up at a photo-hosting site like Photobucket, then you just insert the link here.

That might be the same material that's commonly referred to as French Ivory. It's often celluloid or another similar synthetic material.

A "Schrade Walden, NY,USA" marked SS105 Sampler knife would have been made previous to 1974. If it is celluloid then previous to 1961.

I found some on eBay that look like the same, selling for 12.00-20.00
Unless someone that knows the company that is printed on it,I doubt it will fetch anything different!
I'll just put it in my collection.

Although these are not generally a high-dollar item, you may notice that the ones selling for under $20 are largely the ones made in China with a Schrade name on them. They are NOT the same as a pre-1974 Schrade Walden NY USA.

This is the newer Taylor Brands LLC SS105 Schrade marked sampler knife.
