Have any of you noticed a gap between the blade and handle on your SS4? It's right at the top edge of the blade on mine, you can see it in the pic. It doesn't seem to have any wiggle in it or anything, but I'm just not sure if it's supposed to be that way.

Mine does not have that gap. The SYKW forum is on a link from the Scrap Yard site... I'd either post there or email them and see whats up.

Aaahhhhh, yes, I see... Kinda dumb of me. Forgot all about the forum on their site. Please, no confirmation on the "dumb" needed.:D Thanks!

If you mean where the blade meets the handle on the spine, it could just be do to the manufactuering process where the handle is molded to the knife.

Yep, that's where it's at. The concern that came to my mind was stuff getting down in that hole over time and causing troubles. Not a huge deal, but it aroused my curiousity.:)

Nope. But I've got one eared and one earless SS4. And the mudder-handle is harder than I expected. Not that that's bad or good - just different than I had anticipated.

I thought I had another and Patti just emailed me that I did not get one and will be sent a refund from the last batch. Also, The next will not be INFI steel anymore, SR7 or something..:thumbdn:

That gap is definitely not up to standard. I specialize in quality control and I would advise you to send it to me at once so I can see what we're dealing with. I would also advise you to demand another in a superior steel like SR77.

EDIT, just got my email now... guess i will get a refund... i did not make the cut =( kinda regret selling one of my 2 (from the first purchase) at cost, but then again... tonight ill order a FMB LE with the returned funds YAY!

Yeah, that's pretty much what mine looked like, too. No gaps at all.
