It's my first ebay purchase and it's brand spanking new condition, in the box. I got it for 20 bucks which is about what the new chinese Tough Tools I saw went for. Between the bit driver and the slip joint pliers I'm looking forward putting this beast into service on my inevitable weekend projects.

Any of you Schrade folks Tough Tool fans? I searched the collectors site for extra info on these. I also found the original Craftsman branded version's instructions on a multitool site.
 
Hi Hinterland (how far "hinter"?). yep, i'm a Tough Tool fan. i have and wear daily an ST1L (leather sheath) and have bought 2 more (all ebay) with nylon sheaths. most recent (last week) was $14.50 ! super deal !
i won an ST2 (Tough Chip) yesterday for $10.50 ! now, thanks to your post, i'm looking for one of the ST5s.
i have noticed that quite a few of these are listed as "NEW", which in Schrade lingo often means Taylor Schrade, but also as "Made in USA". i'm not sure if these are original Schrades, or did Schrade have these made by some other manufacturer, and the "new" Schrade company has continued the contract ?? now that's a good question ! i hope one of the "senior" members here spots this and gives an answer ! roland
