Wouldn't almost any porous material (wood) have to be??? (except ironwood maybe?)
eek ! i should have said the laminated birch handles on production 110's

no... early ebony and lignum wood were not...
antler... could be but like horn i don’t think so...
again we need the professionals to say… as this is outa my knolage base..
 
The natural woods could or should be stabilized. Ironwood doesn't need it. All the Fibron/Pakkawood inlays are stabilized through the epoxy impregnation process together with the lamination.
