Stabilizing wood....

Guys,
I have found a few sources that have a FEW types of stabilized woods here and there, but I have yet to find a source that has ALL kinds of stabilized woods.
Any suggestions?
Also, was wondering if Ironwood needs to be stabilized? Are most makers using non stabilized Ironwood?
Anyone here stabilizing woods themselves? Is it a LONG process with a good bit of costly supplies or what? I would like to do it myself, if it is easily done, but if it will cost a lot of $$ and take a long time, I would just prefer a good online source for all types of stabilized woods.

You can also buy whatever wood and send it to knife and Gun Finishing.
