Stabilizing??

Haven't personally had ivory stabilized but K&G says this on their website ... Stabilizing can be performed on wood, stag, ivory, horn, bone, oosic, etc.

Bill, you might ask Mark Knapp. I think it depends whether you have teeth, bark, or interior tusk. When I got a piece of interior tusk, the advice I followed was to submerge it for 2 days in thin CA. Then I put it on wax paper to dry for a few more days before working it.
