Howdy There Yall....!
This may sound dumb, but I would like to build something for stablizing material. I have some 6" & 8" sch.40 pipe seal welded on one end and flanged fitting on the other, but have no idea how to make it work...?? Any drawings or detailed instructions would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to blow something up and hurt myself...!

Later "Possum"

Hello Possum. You will need to make a gasket and lid and hook a vacume pump to it. It should look like a still without the coils. Speaking of stills...I went to high school with a "Possum Glick" any relation?

Has anyone tried just taking a vacume bag, putting your liquid of choice and the wood in, and vacume sealing it?

we just experimented with a mason jar as the chamber. The mason jar was filled with thinned solution 50/50(polyu). This jar was then heated (warmed) and then sealed. The jar was then allowed to cool creating a vacum. This was left overnight it has drawn alot of air from the wood. We will now expose it to app. 40 psi for a period to force the material into the voids. I will let you know how it works.

We are planning to convert a large pressure cooker with a nomadic fitting and a tap to manage larger quantities.

Good luck
