Stacked leather handle help please...

I tried to search for a forum that has discussed this, but for some reason the search isn't working for me right now.

I have a Blackjack Trailguide with a stacked leather handle. A slight gap has developed between a couple of the rings. How can this be rectified, and is there a way to prevent it?

I had a loose leather handle and tightened it by heating Tried and True original wood wax, (which is a combination of linseed oil and beeswax, ) placed in an old spice jar in my microwave til nearly smoling, then put the handle in the hot wax and let it cool, and it tightened up. Dont know how big your gap is yet this might work, or might take a couple of soakings
