I was wondering what people thought of this handle configuration. Its stacked natural micarta sandwiched between brass.

cheers

Not a bad look for those traditionally minded folks that like the look of stacked leather but prefer the toughness of phenolic laminates.

thanks i4Mark... all by mistake. I had no idea what it would turn out like, I was just trying something new to clean up some scrap, lol. but couldn't agree more. my buddy is now using it to make V-42 replicas that are a little more modern minded.

I like it I think it would be even better with thinner washers but either way thumbs up.

thanks guys. I didn't know I would like it either, but its a pretty good phenolic replacement for the leather washers... I think that thinner washers would look even better too and I will do that on one of the next ones, but I really had no idea it would look like leather when I made this one. It was a nice surprise. here's a shot of the knife when I had it in the press so you can see what the raw handle looked like.

I like that quite a bit. Pinned butt cap and all. Very nice.
