Hello all. just wanted to share this sweet NRA Buck Stag 192 Bear Cutout with everyone. I got this Bear cutout 192 Buck knife at a
yard sale and don't know much about it. Any info about it would be a big help. Thanks in advance. PLB

Very neat display. Thank you for sharing. Did it come with the sculpture? You must have a better class of yard sales in California than we have here in Missouri. The closest information I could find describing your knife was in the March 2005 Special Projects List for a 192, Elk Handle with Bear Cutout. 375 were made for the NRA Foundation. That doesn't quite jive with the etch on your blade which says 890/1025.

I have a very similar knife in my collection, Pennsylvania Black Bear, an issue of 250 in the year 2000.
My handle is jigged Buffalo horn. I think this is the most hideous handle I've ever seen on a Buck. It also has the bear head cutout on the pommel just like yours.

You are new here. Trying to do business on a discussion forum is against the rules.... and a bit tacky. Use private messaging or email if the member has activated it. Odd coincidence that this old thread is resurrected today after one sold on eBay yesterday..... I know who has this one..... not a snowballs chance in he....double hockey sticks....

There was one of these knives that just sold on the bay complete with the stand. The description said it was made in 2005 and was the knife of the year in 2005. You can check completed auctions to view it.

roy, the knife is not for sale... She is my daughter...
There is a line already and I'm first in line and so on...
I drove over 80 miles to pick that knife up for her...
I've been trying to get this knife from my daughter
for a few years now... Those are my pictures...

There are rules on the forum like DeSotoSky said...
You might want to read them... I don't like rules but
it is what it is... Who ever got the one off the bay
yesterday was lucky... That's the first one I've seen on
there... They look better in person, that's for sure...

Good luck and I hope you find one... :)

Sorry ITE about the rules. But, the selling and asking rules have been getting a little lax lately. I am researching and talking with other moderators I will write about this next week. As Desoto has stated please use PM or Email or ask poster for address you can contact them with only, no talk of sales. I used to be intense in my collecting in my younger collecting days so I can understand someone, but it still the rule. 300

Thank you. I signed up so I could inquire about the knife. I have been looking since 2010 and was bidding on the one on e-bay and my internet went down.

Funny.... I set my cell phone alarm incorrectly for the auction end. When I remembered, I missed by 1 minute.
The final sale price would have been a lot higher to someone...... :grumpy:

Been there and done that many times .

That's the problem with very rare Bucks. When one pops up you have to really, really go for it. And the rare ones are never cheep. I missed out on some rare 112's early in my collecting days because it wasn't convenient to buy at that time. They seemed to be expensive but in hindsight were a bargain. I will still miss a few just because they are out of my budget even now. If I see one of the rare reblades in BG42 I will stretch hard for one. ..Since 2007 I've seen just one for sale.
