Well, I finally finished another slip joint.
It is patterned after a 4” Tony Bose Backpocket.
The D-2 blade is flat ground, and the handle is from some very nice Elk stag. Everything else is stainless.

This is only my third slip joint but I took my time and this is what came out. Let me know what you think.

I would also like to thank Tony, Reese and Kerry for all the encouragement.

Man that looks great. Congrats.
A nice pattern, flat ground blades, and elk stag! What else to wish for?

I handled this one Thursday afternoon folks and it's a dandy! Brent gives his knives a nice custom touch.

Like Todd says, now get busy on the next one.:cool:

Thanks for all the good comments. Hopefully I'll get to meet some of you all in Atlanta  I will be there Friday for sure. No knives to bring this year, but who knows maybe I can have some put together by 2009 ;)

Thanks for the info....Is it your opinion that it is too risky to do a passaround?
Also, is a raffle okay in this forum? I'm new to this but I would like for as many people as possible to see and handle one of my knives. I'm just not able to spend much time a shows.

Hi Brent,

I think it's a wonderful and generous gesture and I would not try to dissuade you from sharing with the other members.

However, it is (unfortunately, I suppose) my duty to advise you that doing so is not without some risk and to point you to the site's regulations concerning "passarounds". (These rules come from the owner of the site and are important for his indemnification etc.)

So, I think it's a great idea if you are willing to accept and follow the procedure as outlined.

The alternative would be for you to conduct the passaround privately via email without any formal involvement of the forums.

We do "giveaways" in this forum but not "raffles" if it involves any finances. Feel free to email me if I can be of further assistance.

Thanks so much for your help.

The whole idea of forum protocol is foreign to me. I really just started this thread to share with you all a slip joint that I made for my brother in-law. I'll try to share more stuff when I can.

As far as the raffle or passaound I'll probably just put that on hold.
