My last order of the list got here to day. It was on the porch as we returned from an afternoon of hiking with the dogs up at Bald Mountion.

I don't know how many of you decided to get the Stag 405 but I must admit to being very pleased with it. Its a sturdy knife and the stag is outstanding IMO. I've shown it with a 121 and 105 but it is in the 105 class and slightly larger knives because of the heft. As you can see the sheath is very impressive. I consider it an excellent pick up. I may even use it for something.

It is a beauty! I need my rear kicked for passing that one up. I just didn't notice that it was stag. I already had one (wood handles) so didn't pay enough attention.

Nice stag!!! I just don't like the steak knife look of that 405:(

Dang it John, now you've gone and ruined it for me...now I have this picture in my mind of a "big expensive steak knife" AAAAAHHHHHHHHH I may have to jump off the roof of the house or something.

Hey, if a steak knife is good enough for the gauchos, its good enough for me! Beautiful knife, so no need to jump off the roof.

Hey Gordon, after checking out the price of a good cut of meat these days, a man needs a really nice "steak knife" to do it justice! Don't jump!!!!

Ya know, the first thought that popped into my head was, "I bet his wife takes it for the kitchen"... :p

Man you guys are brutal on the ole Flat,... I love the sheath, I'd wear it to the Outback or Longhorn steak houses and pull it out for my big 22 oz porterhouse.

I am not kidding...My last GF had a bunch of cheap flexible "steak knives" that were as thin as hacksaw blades...

She actually grabbed one of my borrowed-from-work strap cutting no-name knives to cut up a rack of baby back ribs at the last cookout...

(Luckily, I have extras) ;)

You buy one of these and you'd better be ready to see your better half shove it into the Rival knife sharpener...
