Hi folks,
I don't poke my head in here very often, but thought you all may want to have a look at my latest bowie.
I've had the design for this bugging me for like the last year or so and I finally had to make it just so I could get some rest! I love the recurve aspect of it. The stag feels great in the hand, and the blade has a nice ring to it. The balance point is right on the ferrule right behind the guard.
Blade length: 9"
OAL: 15"
Blade Material: 1095, clay quenched.
Handle material:Sambar Stag
Guard, ferrule, and pommel: Wrought iron from some very old anchor chain
Sheath: 7-8 ounce veg-tan cowhide, cut, tooled and stitched by me.
The finial on the end cap is turned and polished stainless, heat-colored.
The hamon
Thanks for looking!
Higgy
