Stag antler query??

Gentleman...If this is the wrong forum to be asking this question,please redirect me..I have quite a selection of Samba antlers that i have hunted locally..What is traditionally used to dye the antler? I have used walnut husks in the past and that do,s a fine job..Grateful for any info....with thanks FES........
