Stag Bowie in 1084

That's a really nice looking knife. Looks like it's really well built.

You've been turning out some nice stuff lately but I think this one is my favorite.

That's real purdy! Love the s-guard, and the pommel too.

How is the pommel attached? Did you screw/pin it on the tang or to the stag somehow?

The pommel is screwed onto a bolt attached to the tang of the knife.
 
Awesome Tobin. Love the Thick guard and the piece that sticks out from the pommel is pretty cool too :)
 
Thanks mate, have wondered how to do the buttcaps for a while coz I just have my first thru-tangs back frow the ht'er. Sorry for the belatedness of the reply and keep up the good work!
 
In May this year I contacted Tobin about making a Bowie for me, he sent me about six designs and I whittled it down to three that I liked this is the first one of the three.

Tobin and I worked together with the design on this one and I can say that I am very happy with the outcome!! Hopefully it will be in my hand before not too long. I just spoke with Tobin an hour ago and he is starting another one for me this weekend, it will be different tho, watch this space.
