Stag door handles ??? WTF ?

Been collecting knives for almost 40 years, my favorites being Barry Wood folders... I also happen to love stag handles. We recently had our house remodeled and our contractor built custom screen doors for our arch topped doors out to our deck. He didn't put handles on the outside, he wanted us to pick some out. After a bit of thought I decided to make some custom stag door handles.

Now that looks cool ! I would suggest that you might want to apply some satin spar varnish (marine grade) with UV inhibitor. Stag doesn't take weather well and tends too bleach out over time.

I once made caribou antler handles for a hotel. Last I checked they are still holding up after 12 years.
