I wanted to share with everyone my new custom red stag folder by Alan Davis. Fit and Finish are top notch, lock-up is rock solid, and the action is buttery smooth thanks to the bearing pivot. It seems the trend today is more tactical style folder, but I think Alan has captured the best of both worlds. ATS-34 blade Ti liners and hardware, dual thumb-lugs, and a liner-lock. Everything you would want in a tactical style knife, only you add the old-school stag handles, and I think you have the best of both worlds. Alan is great to deal with and does an exceptional job on his knives, you can tell by the craftsmanship he takes pride in what he does. I like this knife so much that I have ordered a larger flipper knife built to my specs, can't wait to get it. It to will have the best of both worlds, I didn't think I would like the stag scales but the more in hand the more I like them. If you are looking for a custom knife I highly recommend Alan Davis. Alan has no idea about this thread I bought my knife just like everyone else. I'm not big on people blowing there own horn but I give praise where it is due. Alan makes a great knife, right on par with my Sebenza's.
