stag handle work

I have a Linder Stag handle folding lock-back pocket knife that i would like to get some work done on. The stag handles are a little too thick for my taste. Is it possible to get them thinned down a bit? Ideally closer to the width of the bolsters at the top of the knife. Is there anyone on here (or does someone know anyone) that does this kind of work?

Let's move this over to a more appropriate forum. I think you'll find some good options here...

Thanks for the move. I thought this was only for people who are looking to learn to do the tinkering themselves. I don't have any tools for things like this, so i am looking for someone who modifies folders like this as a service. Anyone out there who does this kinda stuff?

Thanks for the response. I will get some pics up as soon as i get some more batteries for my cheap ass camera. I cannot seem to take more than a dozen pics before the batteries die. Something is seriously wrong with my camera.

Sorry for the general crapiness of the pic. My camera stayed awake for exactly one snap. I don't know if this helps or not. The handle is a little over 4 1/3 inches long. If you need more to be able to tell if you could do it, and how thin it is possible to get it without destroying the structural integrity of the stag handles, then let me know and i will go buy some really expensive batteries that may let me take more than the one photo. Thanks again.

To properly slim the scales, they will have to be cut down from the back side. This will require removing them from the knife. If the scales have been tapered away from the liners, sanding them down will make them too small for the liners. Send it to me at the address on my web site after June 1, and I'll take care of it for you.

Yeah i see what you mean about the handles potentially becoming too small. I will send it after the date given if you think there is something you can do. Alternatively, is there any way to replace the stag with stag that can be more easily worked with? Or even might already be thin enough? If you do not have that sort of thing, is there somewhere i might find it for sale? Even Look-alike Delrin would be fine. Thanks again. Oh and i will post more pics once i am done with everything.

I have lots of handle material, and will have even more after the Blade Show at the end of the month.
