Stag Handled Bowie

This is a medium sized Stag handled bowie made from 3/16'' x 1 1/2'' 1095 steel.

The guard, ferrell, butt cap, and skull crusher are made of wrought iron. The ferrell, and guard has some minor file work.

OAL is 12 3/8'', with a cutting edge of 6 1/8'', and is a flat grind.

All comments welcome, good and bad.

Dang Boy! Way to go. Thats *&%$#@ beautiful! Best knife I have seen you do. They just keep getting better and better.:thumbup:
 
Very Nice Job! I am about to make a Bowie for a customer, and this will be my first Bowie. If you would be willing to share some of your "techniques" that would be great.

Robert, tremendous improvement from your earlier work, keep at it as this knife is a dramatic change and definitely advancing along, congrats!

It is all the time I am spending at Dan's at the end of the month when my regular job slows down.

It is hard to make a different knife than what the teacher teaches you to make.
